When you’re going for a Campus placement interview, it’s best to dress formally. This means wearing formal clothes that are acceptable for business or any other formal event. You should not wear jeans or T-shirts inside because it might make a negative impression on the interviewer.

∎ Silk scarf (optional): A silk scarf that matches the color of your outfit is an elegant accessory that completes any look and provides warmth during the winter months.
Things to be avoided in Female formal wear?
∎ Short dresses and short skirts that reveal your thighs or knees

Don’t carry any electronic gadgets to the interview, since it’ll be very distracting for, the interviewer who will most probably allow you time to check your devices before or after the interview.
It’s also best to schedule your campus interviews, early in the morning. This is because some companies require that students turn up at least 30 minutes before their scheduled time due to traffic conditions and other unforeseen circumstances. Also, try not to schedule back-to-back campus visits as this might exhaust you even before your first interview begins!
Do your research beforehand so that you can ask relevant questions during the course of the interview, which is a good way of showing how interested you are in working with them.
Be polite and smile during the interview; if you are very excited about the job, this is okay as long as it doesn’t go overboard. Avoid questions that will make you look like an outsider or someone who is not familiar with the norms of society.
Pick up on some cues to know how well your performance was during the course of the interview. Ending off your conversation with a firm handshake and asking for business cards are good ways of showing gratitude for being interviewed.
